City of Minneapolis is ‘aware of reports’ of shooting involving federal law enforcement

A federal officer shot a person in the leg after being attacked with a shovel during a Minneapolis arrest, sources told The Associated Press.

This comes after the city of Minneapolis said it is aware of reports of a shooting involving federal law enforcement in North Minneapolis.

Local media outlet KARE 11 reports federal law enforcement is on scene.

This comes after Governor Tim Walz slammed the Trump administration for its action in Minneapolis.

“They’re pulling over people indiscriminately, including U.S. citizens, and demanding to see their papers,” Walz said. He accused the Trump administration of conducting a “campaign of organized brutality” and criticized the response to the death of Renee Nicole Good, stating, “Instead of conducting an impartial investigation… the Trump administration is devoting the full power of the federal government to finding an excuse to attack the victim and her family.”
