Comedian slams actors for being anti-ICE while on the red carpet

Comedian Jamie Kennedy criticized celebrities on the red carpet who made anti-ICE statements and claimed the U.S. was under authoritarianism.

Kennedy made these remarks earlier this week while being a guest on the “Trying Not to Die” podcast hosted by Jack Osbourne.

“When you have actors from the red carpet of an award show saying stuff like ‘we’re under a fascist regime’ and cries of ‘authoritarianism,’ they couldn’t be more clueless,” Kennedy said, according to the New York Post.

He said that you couldn’t preach against authoritarianism when you yourself are an authoritarian.

Earlier this month, the Grammy Awards happened and many celebrities made statements against ICE.

Pop singer Billie Eilish who won an award for “Song of the Year” got up and said “F—k ICE” during her acceptance speech.

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny who won Album of the Year, criticized ICE during his speech as well.

“ICE out,” he said, later adding, “We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”

Bad Bunny was also the Super Bowl halftime show performer for 2026.

Kennedy said that the criticism of ICE is insane, saying that the agents are “Trying to get rid of criminals.”
