Costco recalls mislabeled mini beignets filled with chocolate hazelnut, not caramel

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Costco is recalling Mini Beignets that were mislabeled and inadvertently filled with Chocolate Hazelnut instead of Caramel.

The item in question is #1181272 – Mini Beignets filled with Caramel.

“If you are allergic to Hazelnuts/Filberts, do not consume this product. Please return it to Costco for a full refund,” Costco said in the recall notice. “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to Hazelnuts/Filberts run the risk of severe life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.”

Costco said the item was sold in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington, along with 20 other states.
