Democrats Are Going to Try to Distance Themselves From Their Woke Policies. Don’t Let Them.

After the Left ruined our lives with their ridiculous and totalitarian COVID policies, they tried to move on from the mess they made by saying it was an accident and it was time to look forward. It’s maddening because they know they were wrong and don’t want accountability or responsibility for the damaging, economy-destroying lockdowns that probably cost more lives (and livelihoods) than they saved.

The same thing can be said about the woke policies of the Left, including its soft-on-crime stance, speech policing, trans activism, and a slew of other things they tried to force down our throats. Now that they’re slowly realizing we’re not keen on their nonsense, they’re pretending to be moderates (like Francesca Hong in Wisconsin) or simply hoping to dismiss what they did and, once again, move on.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did that in an interview with Jon Karl.

“Abolish prisons, abolish police, which is also positions that have been taken by a lot of the progressive candidates who have won. How do you get around that?” Karl asked. “Those are not positions that are supported by most Americans.”

“I think that a lot of these races even right now, they’ll have a tendency to be nationalized. But these races ultimately are local and all politics are local. My understanding is that Francesca Hong has made clear her present stances to her electorate,” AOC replied.

“Yeah, she’s moved away from a lot of that,” Karl interjected.

“Right, she’s moved away from it,” AOC continued. “And I have a local city councilman that has this saying, ‘Woke One’ was crazy.”

“Woke One was crazy. I think that’s the truth,” Karl said.

And they both laughed.

Hong has not moved away from it. In January, she was endorsed by the Wisconsin Electoral Socialists for her “commitment to police and prison abolition.” That endorsement came after Hong filled out a questionnaire and completed an interview with the group. She has not changed her position. Jon Karl and AOC are running interference for her, and themselves.

Jonathan Karl should feel ashamed of himself for treating AOC like she is some kind of sage who has wisdom to share.

Jon Karl has no shame.

By calling it Woke 1.0 they are acknowledging that there will be a Woke 2.0, and it will be even more insane.

None of them have changed their views. They are lying and moderating to win the next election. Everything they believe — from abolishing the Senate to prisons to the police — will come back in full force if they regain power.

We cannot let them regain power. They’ll destroy America if they do.
