For the Left, victimhood is currency. That’s why they divide the world into the “oppressors” and the “oppressed,” and it’s why the groups they despise — whites, men, Christians, and straight people — are always the oppressors while the groups they like (everyone not in the aforementioned groups) are always the oppressed. And for far too long, playing the victim card has worked.
That needs to stop, because hiding behind the shield of victimhood has allowed many rotten, fetid ideologies to take root in America. The latest such ideology is being spouted by Zohran Mamdani’s housing/tenant advisor, Cea Weaver.
Weaver, an avowed Marxist, believes homeownership is a “tool of white supremacy” and seeks not only to abolish private property, but to devalue property so government can take it over. If you don’t understand what that means, I’ll spell it out for you: we all live in government-run slums.
As I pointed out here, Mamdani made a visit to a government-run apartment in NYC, where the floors were crumbling. Mamdani’s socialist friends blamed it on capitalism, but that’s a lie. I’ve spent time in government-run housing here in the Milwaukee area. The buildings are old, run-down, and filthy. They’re infested with bedbugs, mice, and cockroaches. It’s not the high-quality housing that Mamdani vowed to bring to people.
And that’s be design. Mamdani and his fellow socialists promise that if we just let them take over everything, it’ll be not only affordable, but “beautiful.” Then, once they get their way, they pull the rug out from under you and you’re left living in a dump with no means of escape. Meanwhile, socialists like Mamdani continue living in their nice houses or Ugandan compounds.
Cea Weaver is no exception. For all her bloviating about the evils of gentrification, the lily-white Weaver lives in Crown Heights, and her mother owns a $1.6 million “tool of white supremacy” in Tennessee.
When confronted about this glaring hypocrisy, Weaver broke down and cried, saying she regretted her past posts (many of which were deleted).
Don’t be fooled by her tears. She’s not sorry for her past stances, and she’s not even sorry she got caught. She’s trying to weaponize her tears and our sympathy so she can continue being the property-grabbing commie she always has been.
Which is why this defense of Weaver just doesn’t sway anyone.

“I don’t agree with everything she believes in but she was on my podcast & I found her sincere, authentic, smart & a nice person. She’s also very practical,” Albanese wrote.
Nothing about stealing property from white people — or anyone — is “practical.” Devaluing property and making everyone live in government slums (except her own mother) is not “practical.” It’s Marxism.
And no, Mamdani isn’t the real target here. He’s one of the targets, but the real target is the communist ideas he and Weaver spout. They are dangerous people spouting dangerous, unconstitutional ideas. They want to steal our property and drive us into poverty while they continue to be wealthy, they want to destroy America and rebuild it to emulate the horrors of 20th-century communism, an ideology that killed tens of millions of people and destroyed East Germany, Cuba, and Venezuela.
Those are the victims. Cea Weaver is not, and never will be.
