VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Handcuffed at the wrists and ankles, a woman was led into the Volusia County Jail after being accused of impersonating a law enforcement officer in a bitcoin scheme that cost a Florida woman $79,000.
D’Zyre Youngblood, 28, is accused of participating in a fraud scheme where scammers will pose as law enforcement officers and threaten victims with jail time if they don’t pay thousands of dollars.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said its Financial Crimes Unit tracked her down through Bitcoin wallet transfers after a woman claimed she lost $79,000 after believing she was contacted by “Captain Dietrich.”

Youngblood, of Atlanta, was arrested and brought down to Volusia County, where she came face to face with the law enforcement she was impersonating.
“This is the real Captain Dietrich… so you can tell your homeboys that if you f*** around in Volusia County, you’re getting locked up,” Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said.
Youngblood now faces charges of grand theft and an organized scheme to defraud. VSO says the scam ring is run by inmates in the Georgia prison with help from the outside.
