Giving Control of Healthcare to Democrats Is a Dangerous Path to Travel

That’s been the Democrats’ white whale for years, and much in the same way Captain Ahab disregarded the safety of his crew to chase Moby Dick, Democrats do not care how many people will die in their pursuit of Medicare for All. In fact, they’d likely see the deaths as a feature and not a bug of their plan.

We all knew when Obama said we’d save $2,500 a year on premiums and that costs would go down, it was a lie. Nancy Pelosi said we had to pass the bill to find out what was in it, much like opening a gift-wrapped pile of dog droppings to discover the pretty paper was a facade concealing a disgusting “gift.” 

I know several people who could not, in fact, keep their doctors. Including a woman with cancer who ended up dying because she could no longer get treatment.

Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act unanimously. Republican fingerprints are nowhere to be found on that mess, and while Republicans have — much to my disappointment — failed to repeal the legislation (please don’t replace it), they’ve at least made progress on lowering drug prices.

Keep this handy for when Democrats blame Republicans for the cost of healthcare.

Democrats will blame Republicans, however.

But now that the new crop of Democratic socialists are renewing the push for Medicare for All, can we finally admit that Obamacare was always designed to fail, just as thousands of us knew almost two decades ago?

And I will once again renew my call not to give control of our healthcare — a very literal issue of life and death — over to people who hate us.

My mother is 71, retired, and has a slew of health issues. She also has an openly conservative daughter who bashes Democrats on a daily basis. What chances would she stand if a guy like Abdul El-Sayed was deciding who does and doesn’t get seen by a doctor?

Because, in addition to skyrocketing taxes, care would have to be rationed. We don’t have enough doctors to handle demand right now, let alone if we give “free” healthcare to every American and the tens of millions of illegal aliens Democrats want to import. In the U.K., Rupert Lowe said immigrants get priority dental care over immigrants to “Ensure the service recognizes the inequalities faced by the detained individuals and proactively aims to reduce the inequalities therein.”

In July, the British Dental Association condemned comments I made on Joe Rogan stating that illegal migrants receive priority access to NHS dental treatment – they demanded I apologise. I told them where to go at the time, but we have since been doing some digging…

Now in America, it’s not hard to imagine that part of the Left’s push for “reparations” involves priority healthcare for minorities and illegal aliens to “reduce the inequalities” in American society. My white, sick mother would not qualify.

Maybe they’d pay for her to travel to Canada for MAiD, though.

That’s because the Left does not believe healthcare is a “right.” That’s just a great-sounding political phrase. Any notion that healthcare was a “right” went out the window with COVID, when the Left demanded the unvaccinated be left to die. They did the same thing with the “right” to education by shutting down schools for months on end. 

There’s no reason to believe they wouldn’t pull the same healthcare-rejecting stunt with Trump voters, gun owners, or certain demographic groups, and every reason to believe they would openly discriminate. When guys like Abdul El-Sayed (who oversaw the slaughter of 4,000 dogs and cats in Detroit) talks about having the “political will” to enact his expensive and dangerous scheme, pay attention.

We have the resources to guarantee cradle-to-grave healthcare. What we’ve lacked is the political will.

Look no further than Canada and the U.K. for proof that the system fails. Both of those nations have significantly smaller populations, and yet the systems are overburdened, with long wait times and an attitude that encourages you to off yourself rather than get care. Care that’s supposedly a right that Brits and Canucks pay a lot in taxes for.

The push for Medicare for All is how Democrats admit their beloved Obamacare failed, as they always meant it to. And now they’re moving on to the next step of that equation: demanding we do more of the same thing so they can decide who lives and who dies.

Do not give them that power.
