TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Another Florida nurse is under scrutiny after posting a controversial TikTok video that has drawn condemnation.
Stephanie Krueger, a nurse from Tampa who worked with Cross Country Healthcare, shared a TikTok questioning why patients would express strong political opinions just before undergoing anesthesia. She pointed out the irony of patients discussing such serious views while being on the brink of being paralyzed for surgery.
James Uthmeier, Florida’s Attorney General, responded strongly to the post, stating that medical professionals who compromise patient safety based on political views will not be tolerated in the state.
In response to Krueger’s video, Cross Country Healthcare clarified on X that Krueger no longer works for them, they do not endorse such behavior, and that the nurse does not represent their values.
This comes after a controversy CBS12 News recently reported on involving Alexis “Lexie” Lawler, a labor and delivery nurse from Boca Raton. Lawler faced severe backlash after posting a TikTok wishing severe childbirth injuries on White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Uthmeier announced that Lawler is “no longer allowed to practice nursing in Florida” due to what he described as an ethical breach. He condemned her comments as inappropriate for a healthcare professional, stressing that wishing harm on others while representing a clinical role is unacceptable.

Uthmeier deemed the video’s remarks as “vile” and emphasized that merely being fired from a job is not enough for those who fail to provide safe and unbiased care.
