On March 5, 2026, the Idaho Department of Corrections requested a drug detection canine from Boise County to assist with a check of a parolee’s residence. K9 Roki was used during the search and alerted to multiple substances.
Jerald Rich, 54, of Clear Creek, was arrested on multiple charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, including methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rich was given a $15,000 bond and is also being held on an IDOC no-bond hold.
“This arrest demonstrates our commitment to addressing drug possession and delivery that endangers our community, our children, and the livelihood of citizens within Boise County,” officials said. “Getting dangerous drugs, such as methamphetamine, off our streets aids in the reduction of other crimes within Boise County.”
