Almost two thirds of Americans think President Donald Trump will send troops to Iran as the conflict in the Middle East increases.

According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, 65% of adult Americans believe Trump will order a massive ground-scale invasion in Iran.

Fifty-five percent of the Americans polled said they don’t support troops going to Iran and seven percent say they do support it.

The Pentagon his requesting $200 billion from Congress to support operations in the Middle East.

Last month, Israel and the U.S. conducted joint strikes on Iran due to concerns that the country had missiles.

Iran retaliated and other Middle East countries have been hit. Trump has not ruled out boots on the ground as an option in the past.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday that he promised the families of fallen service members that he would “finish this” and honor their sacrifice.

“Hear it from me, one of hundreds of thousands who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, who watched previous foolish politicians like Bush, Obama and Biden squander American credibility,” Hegseth told reporters. “This is not those wars. President Trump knows better. Epic Fury is different. It’s laser-focused. It’s decisive.”
