The Nassau County Police Department on Tuesday identified him as 21-year-old Samy Sedhom.

Police said he was charged with the following:
In a news release, police said officers responded to a home on Friday. When they got there, they found a 28-year-old woman bleeding from a laceration on the right side of her face.
Police said the woman was taken to a area hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
“It was determined that [the] defendant shot an arrow from a crossbow towards the victim, which grazed her face,” police said. “He was placed under arrest without incident.”
WABC identified the woman as Sedhom’s sister, adding that police said he attacked her in the garage after she got home from the gym. Citing prosecutors, the media outlet reported that Sedhom told police he shot his sister — and that he had planned to do it since Christmas.
“Families have problems just like everyone else, so I don’t know all the details, but it might’ve been an argument that went too far,” a neighbor said, per WABC.
Police said Sedhom was set to be arraigned on Sunday, with the media outlet reporting that he was still in jail as of Monday.
