“Just another day serving the community in more ways than one,” the department noted in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

Police also shared what appeared to be security video from the DoorDash customer’s home. The department said the footage showed two officers handing food to someone at the front door.

“We arrested your driver, but, yeah, we delivered your food,” one of the officers says.

Authorities said it all went down on Sunday after another officer made a traffic stop around noon near an area high school.

“The driver was a wanted person with warrants,” police wrote on Facebook. “While being placed under arrest, the driver advised officers he was making a DoorDash delivery right up the block.”

That’s when Sgt. Matt Barnett and Officer Mike Scheer stepped in and made sure the delivery was completed.

“Teamwork makes dreamwork!” police wrote in the post. “And to the resident who answered the door, we are sorry for the surprise and for startling you! We hope lunch was still hot.”

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, DoorDash thanked the officers.
