
SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — Salem Police arrested two people after reports of a bar fight in northeast Salem early Saturday morning.
Officers were called out at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7 on reports of a fight involving several people at Mikey’s Bar and Grill on Liberty Street NE, Salem Police said.
The 9-1-1 caller added that there could be a gun involved.
When police arrived, they chased and caught Demetre Marseille, 20, of Salem, after they say they saw him discard a gun near a vehicle. Witnesses said they saw Marseille threaten security and patrons with a handgun. Officers also found several baggies of what they believe was cocaine on Marseille.
Police also tried to stop another car linked to the altercation at the bar, but the driver, later identified as 23-year-old Edgar Juarez-Juarez of Salem, took off and crashed into a nearby fence.
Juarez-Juarez and his passenger were taken to Salem Hospital with some minor injuries. Police got a warrant to search his car and found another gun, which had its serial number removed.
Marseille was booked into the Marion County Jail on multiple charges, including Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, and Unlawful Delivery of Cocaine.

Juarez-Juarez was also booked at the Marion County Jail on several charges, including DUII, Attempt to Elude a Police Officer, and Reckless Driving.
