WASHINGTON (TNND) — South Carolina GOP Rep. Nancy Mace called on the CIA to turn over documents about anything related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
“We’re calling on the Central Intelligence Agency to allow us to view any and all records, documents, photos, videos, passports, and other materials they may have in their possession relating to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell,” she wrote on the social media platform, X on Sunday.
She posted a picture of a letter she sent to CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Mace has been one of the few lawmakers along with Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo) who have been calling for the full release of Epstein and those he was associated with.
Epstein was convicted in 2019 of sex trafficking minors. While he died in prison, his associate Maxwell is currently serving time in prison. In 2025, she was moved from a federal prison in Florida to the Federal Prison Camp in Texas.
“Congress needs to know what, if any, relationship the CIA had with Jeffrey Epstein and what information they’re sitting on,” Mace’s post continued.
“Classified or not, we want to see it. The American people deserve answers about whether our intelligence agencies had connections to a child sex trafficker.”
The Department of Justice recently released millions of files related to Epstein, in correspondence to the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
