WASHINGTON (TNND) — Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul said that he was irritated with the Trump administration for not prosecuting Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Paul said that he sent criminal referrals for Fauci to former Attorney General Merrick Garland under former President Joe Biden, saying he had evidence that Fauci lied to Congress, which is a felony.
Paul has been a longtime critic of Fauci for years. In 2024, he alleged that Fauci conspired with an organization that was researching viruses to hide its loss of funding from the government.
Even though Fauci may not be able to get convicted in court due to Fauci being pardoned by Biden, it would be worth looking into whether the Supreme Court could narrow the pardon, Paul argued.
During the interview, Paul revealed that he had been working with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to potentially hold Fauci accountable.
“I’ve been working with Bobby Kennedy, and he’s been very helpful, and I have a good relationship with him,” he said.
During the podcast interview, Rogan and Paul discussed foreign policy, the corruption regarding the pushing of the COVID-19 vaccine during the pandemic and the U.S. southern border.
