All members of Nancy Guthrie’s family have been cleared as suspects, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday, as the search continues for the abducted mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie.

“To be clear…the Guthrie family – to include all siblings as spouses – has been cleared as possible suspects in this case. The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case,” Sheriff Chris Nanos wrote.

To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel. The Guthrie family are victims plain and simple…please, I’m begging you the media to honor your profession and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism.”

The sheriff’s message to the media comes as the search for Nancy Guthrie enters a third week.

As for the latest in the search, investigators are testing DNA on a glove found not far from the Guthrie home. The FBI announced that the glove seems to be tied to the masked person pictured in the surveillance footage from the abduction site.

On Monday, TMZ claimed it had received a fourth email from a man who claims to know who was behind the abduction of Nancy Guthrie and where she currently is.
