Death is a feature, not a bug, of socialized medicine. Not only will demagogues like Abdul El-Sayed use “Medicare for All” as a political weapon against his ideological opponents, but the overwhelming of the system will, inevitably, lead to rationing. That’s where the politicization of healthcare comes in: Democrats, who view everything through an intersectional lens, will give their preferred minority constituents access to healthcare, just like they do to government contracts and DEI positions. White men and Christians will, as always, lose out.
But even members of the Left’s preferred demographic groups will get swept up in the inevitable shortages of healthcare providers, appointments, and equipment. That’s what happens in Canada, where delays are so ubiquitous that Canucks come here for quicker care. In 2024, I told you about Roseanne Milburn. She waited six years for a knee replacement — something Americans can get in weeks — and after complications arose, she faced more delays. Infection set in, and thanks to more delays in care, Milburn ended up having her leg amputated.
I suppose we should be happy they didn’t offer her MAiD. That’s what they did for this Canadian man’s wife, who had ovarian cancer. The system lied to her about surgery, lost her chemo requisition, and she never saw her oncologist. But they offered to kill her.
She instead went to Texas, where she was — as of April — in remission.
In December, I wrote about Jolene, who lived with a parathyroid disease. It was perfectly treatable, but — left untreated — causes bone pain, nausea, and vomiting. Surgery to remove her remaining parathyroid would have corrected the issue. There were no surgeons available. To go to another province for surgery, Jolene needed to see an endocrinologist. None in Saskatchewan were taking new patients.

But Canada offered to kill her, too. Glenn Beck offered to help her get treatment in America.
Now another young woman is facing a death sentence in the name of “free” healthcare.
“I’m about to be a victim of the Canadian healthcare system.”
Jess has cancer. The doctor was 95% sure they’d operate to remove it.
But in the agonizing months it took to get tests, it grew too much to operate.
My dad was a victim of Canada’s “healthcare.” There will be many… pic.twitter.com/3azUnaYjRf

This is not accidental. This is not a misfortunate event. This is what socialized medicine is.
It’s not healthcare. It’s an organized way to kill a population while politicians reward their allies, punish their enemies, and pat themselves on the back.
I know someone who was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer recently. Within days, he was undergoing intensive treatment, and we just learned he’s responding well. While the future is still uncertain, he was not denied or delayed care. His insurance company didn’t offer to euthanize him instead of paying for chemo.
Remember this when the Democrats push for Medicare for All. We have a population orders of magnitude larger than Canada, which can’t keep up with the healthcare needs of its population.
All that will come from “Medicare for All” is healthcare for none and death for everyone who is sick.
