The usual suspects are pearl-clutching and hand-wringing over the impending execution of Nidal Hasan, an execution that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said will be livestreamed for those of us who want to see that terrorist get the justice he deserves.
It’s also here where I’ll quote Secretary Hegseth when addressing the whining of these people: “Don’t care.”
I do not care that Nidal Hasan is going to be executed. I only care that it took 17 years to get here. He committed that act of terrorism two months after my son was born; he’s graduating high school in May. I think here of Pvt. Francheska Velez. She was 21 and from Chicago. She had just returned from a tour of duty in Iran and was three months pregnant. She was at Fort Hood that day filling out paperwork. During the shooting, Velez cried out, “My baby! My baby!”
Neither of them survived.
I would like to hear our Catholic Vice President explain why they’re intentionally choosing to broadcast the death of a human being for the entire world to see, including children. https://t.co/BGnfbSdPzn

Because this is justice. Not once did Favreau call on President Biden — also a Catholic — to explain his support of abortion at all stages of pregnancy, his support of gay marriage, or his push to “transition” children.

And Vance has said he will not watch it.

The pro-life argument may be the most insipid of them all.
The pro-lifers are livestreaming a public execution.

This is only an affront to pro-life sensibilities if you can’t distinguish between an Islamic terrorist and an unborn child. Sane people, however, can. It’s the same tired argument trotted out every time there’s a high-profile death penalty case.
All you need to remember is that the Left’s compassion is inversely proportional to how big a scumbag someone is. That’s why they love Nidal Hasan and want to kill the 12-week-old child in the womb. They believe the latter will “ruin” their lives while the former killed 13 people and wounded many more.
We are not the same.
But the most absurd argument is that Hasan — who is now a paraplegic thanks to the first responders who shot him 17 years ago — shouldn’t be executed because he needs to use a wheelchair.
To be clear the man they are saying they will execute ON TV is PARAPLEGIC in a wheelchair. https://t.co/qk6kgQqXXs

This makes it sound like the government found a disabled guy and are going to execute him for sport. Hasan is a paraplegic because he chose to shout “Allahu Akbar” before opening fire on men and women in uniform. If anything, the first responders messed up by not dispatching him on November 5, 2009. Then he wouldn’t be a paraplegic.
I understand why some people might find this unappealing and object to it. That is your right. You don’t have to watch it. But America has a history of public executions, and no one shed a tear for the conspirators who worked with John Wilkes Booth, including Mary Surratt, the first woman executed by the U.S. government.

This looks pretty public, and the news photographers were the equivalent of Internet publication. pic.twitter.com/ZxNHu7TySI

More than that, I would bet good money the Venn Diagram of people upset about Hasan’s impending demise and those who think Charlie Kirk got what he deserved are concentric circles. It’s hard to be lectured about celebrating death and televised executions by people who marked the anniversary of the cold-blooded assassination of a husband and father with cakes, costumes, and rewatching the video of his murder.
And if this sounds harsh, it should. I’m angry that Hasan’s terrorist attack was deemed “workplace violence” by the Obama administration. I am angry that we live in a society where a significant portion of they have more sympathy for terrorists, rapists, and murderers than they do for victims, both living and dead.
For the families of the dozens of Fort Hood victims, justice is coming for the world to watch.
“We’ll see him December 3.”
