I knew this was going to happen, and so did anyone who has paid even cursory attention to the WNBA’s trans athlete brouhaha. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me recap: Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham said what the majority of Americans believe — that boys and men do not belong in girls’ and women’s sports, even if those men say they’re women. What followed this very common-sense proclamation was outrage from the usual suspects. Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve (who doesn’t like when men take women’s coaching jobs) wore a pro-trans shirt. Celeste Keaton, the co-owner of the Seattle Storm, was suspended after she harassed two girls who showed up at a Storm game in support of Cunningham. Misogynistic pro-trans protesters showed up at games too, photobombing the pro-women with a fan that read “C**t.”
Keep it classy, guys.
Cunningham and her crew are on the right side of this issue, of course. That’s because men, even men who have “transitioned” are still, well, men. And they have tremendous physical advantages over women in sports, even if they have their penis removed and wear a dress. You can’t change the fundamental physiology of a male body — the bone structure, the muscle mass, the inherent strength — all remain even if that man takes hormones and wears high heels.
Girls have been hurt, seriously hurt, playing against boys. Payton McNabb ended up partially paralyzed with a traumatic brain injury after a boy spiked a volleyball into her face. In Washington, a female wrestler was sexually assaulted on the mat in front of the refs and the audience by her male opponent. The fact her opponent was male was kept from this girl until he had sexually assaulted her, and her mom caught it on camera.
Now Enes Kanter, a Turkish-American former professional basketball player has done exactly what I’ve said someone needs to do for a while now: declare for the WNBA. Kanter is a man, of course. But that shouldn’t matter to the WNBA scolds and their media allies who have spent the past several weeks raking Sophie Cunningham and the six girls who are WNBA fans over the coals, right?

After Kanter announced he was declaring for the WNBA draft, the WNBA issued this statement.

The statement reads (emphasis added):
To everyone who loves this game: The WNBPA represents 200+ individual people with different lived experiences, cultures, lifestyles, and opinions. We embrace justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Those are the values that unite this Union and allow it to protect women’s sports while creating transformational change.
Hate, abuse, and demonization of any person or group of people, including transgender people, only fuel fear, division, and harm. We will continue to have hard conversations. But we will not be used as political pawns.
Support the players. Support the fans. At games, notify security if you witness hateful, violent, or abusive behavior. Online, report abusive posts and drown out the bots and bad actors. At home, tell your elected officials to strengthen Title IX.
Translation: we will not allow Kanter into the league. Because we are raging hypocrites who are fine with abuse towards Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, and young girls who think they have a right to single-sex sports and spaces (the basis of Title IX, by the way).
But the real gem comes from sportswriter Noa Dalzell, who thinks Kanter’s intention is “embarrassing behavior.”

Why is Noa being a transphobe? For weeks, the WNBA and sports journalists have been telling us Sophie Cunningham is a transphobic bigot, a hater, and a “c**t.” Now the WNBA and sports writers have the opportunity to let a man who says he’s a woman into the WNBA and that’s “embarrassing.”
The only difference between Kanter and a “trans” player is that Kanter doesn’t cosplay as a woman. The Left’s own standard has been, for a while now, that all a man has to do to be considered a woman is say so.
That’s why Richard Cox was allowed to expose his penis to women and girls in female locker rooms in Virginia. It’s why Tremaine Carroll was able to rape not one, not two, but three women in a California prison. Both of those men simply said they were women, and all the laws against public decency, sexual assault, and rape went out the window.
This was never about supporting trans athletes. We all knew that. This was about bitter, failed leftists destroying girls’ sports and abusing women to advance an agenda in opposition to Donald Trump and Republicans. The Left’s unhinged hatred of the president and his party has driven them to applaud the wholesale abuse of women and girls, and they think they’re the good guys here.
That’s embarrassing behavior, and they’re as transparent as glass.
