President Donald Trump surprised the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team on Sunday by inviting them to his State of the Union address after they won the gold medal at the Milan Cortina Olympics.

FBI Director Kash Patel joined the team in the locker room as they celebrated the win and held up his phone so players could hear from Trump and get the exciting news.

“I’ll tell you what. I just told my people two minutes ago, I didn’t know they’d be calling, I said we’re giving the State of the Union speech on Tuesday night,” Trump said to the cheering players. “I can send a military plane or something, but if you would like to, it’s the coolest night, it’s the biggest speech ”

“We’ll get Kash, and we’ll get the military to get you guys over,” the president continued. “You won’t have to worry about the weather or landing. We don’t care if it’s snowing or if it’s the worst blizzard – we’ll be sailing through like you did on the ice.”

Trump said he would also honor the team with medals after the State of the Union and would invite the women’s team to join in the celebrations.

Patel jokingly said he would drive the team on the bus and was “on it” as players eagerly thanked the president.
