WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump on Monday said that he and Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz had a good call and they are on a similar wavelength.
“Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social Monday morning.
Trump said he told Gov. Walz that border czar Tom Homan would be calling him.
“I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Homan call him, and that what we are looking for are any and all criminals that they have in their possession,” Trump’s post continued.
He said that Walz was happy that Homan was coming to Minnesota later this evening.
“We have had such tremendous SUCCESS in Washington, D.C., Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and virtually every other place that we have “touched” and, even in Minnesota,” Trump’s post concluded. “Crime is way down, but both Governor Walz and I want to make it better!”
Anti-ICE protests have been increasing in the Minneapolis area following the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, who were both shot by federal agents.
Pretti was shot over the weekend while protesting Trump’s immigration policies and the Trump administration is reviewing what happened.
Good was shot earlier this month. A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said she was shot because she tried to run a federal official over with her car.
