Conservative commentators Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson took the stage Thursday evening at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest event where they exchanged jabs at each other.

Shapiro spoke first where he took a jab at Carlson for interviewing white nationalist Nick Fuentes earlier this year.

“If you host a Hitler apologist, Nazi-loving, anti-American piece of refuse like Nick Fuentes you ought to own it,” Shapiro said.

In late October, Carlson hosted Fuentes on his podcast for over two hours. While he got flack for hosting Fuentes, President Donald Trump defended Carlson and said no one can tell him who to interview.

When Carlson took the stage, he said it was wild for Shapiro to call for deplatforming at a Turning Point USA event.

“Calls to deplatform at a Charlie Kirk event? That’s hilarious,” Carlson said during his moment on stage.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA was murdered at a speaking event at Utah Valley University on Sep. 10.

His wife, Erika Kirk, took over as CEO of the company and she also spoke onstage the first night of AmericaFest.

“My husband didn’t build this movement so people could feel comfortable,” she said.

“He built this movement so people could feel brave. You may not agree with everyone on this stage this weekend — and that’s OK. Welcome to America.”
