White House claims ‘Fake Outrage’ over Trump reposting political meme

The Trump administration is reacting to a meme video the President re-posted on Thursday night, that had AI images of the Obamas depicted as gorillas in the jungle. The video focuses mostly on election integrity, but near the end it shows Barack and Michelle Obama’s faces on gorilla cartoons while “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” plays.

“This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King,” the spokesperson said. “Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”

The video the White House is referencing is reportedly from an October video where multiple Democrats, including the Obamas and Clintons are portrayed as animals in a jungle while Trump is portrayed as a lion.

The White House is getting some flack from both parties.

Republican Senator Tim Scott wrote on X. “The President should remove it.”
