WASHINGTON (TNND) — Whoop CEO Will Ahmed denied online speculation claims that White House chief of staff Susie Wiles breached U.S. security protocols because she wore a specific device.
Over the weekend, the U.S. and Israel conducted target strikes on Iran. So far, four U.S. service members have been killed.
The attack is called “Operation Epic Fury” and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Monday that Iran “was building powerful missiles and drones to create a conventional shield for their nuclear blackmail ambitions.”
Over the weekend, the White House posted a picture of President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Wiles in a room together monitoring the operations in Iran.
Social media users who saw the picture speculated that Wiles was wearing a smartwatch, which isn’t allowed in security meetings due to potential recording.
Ahmed clarified that what Wiles was wearing was called a “whoop” and doesn’t have a microphone and can’t record.
“It’s called a whoop. It does not include a microphone, GPS, or cellular capability of any kind and has long been on the NSA approved PED list,” he wrote on X. “Given today’s performance, it’s likely she had a green recovery, low RHR, and high HRV.”
Trump monitored the airstrikes in Iran from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
In D.C., Vice President J.D. Vance had a meeting with cabinet secretaries in the Situation Room under the White House.
