Pressbox: Derik Queen Selected No. 13 In NBA Draft

After declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft following his freshman season, Baltimore native Derik Queen became the 65th player in Maryland basketball program history to hear his name called in the NBA draft. Queen was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 13th pick in the first round at the Barclays Center June 25. The pick was traded just before being announced to the New Orleans Pelicans.
