BALTIMORE (WBFF) — UMBC men’s lacrosse coach Ryan Moran said Thursday morning that athletic director Tiffany D. Tucker informed him Wednesday that he will be terminated as coach.
Moran said Tucker gave him two options: Be fired for cause, or resign. He said he will not resign.
“Resigning would be the easy way out here, but there’s just been so much wrongdoing to me, to my family, that at this stage, I have a tough time just trying to just walk away and forget it,” he said.
Moran, 44, said Tucker placed him on administrative leave Sept. 24 after a review was initiated by a bullying and “sexual misconduct” allegation by one player against a teammate, lawyers representing the accuser confirmed last month.
