BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Maryland Lottery player is celebrating after a scratch-off ticket sold in Prince George’s County delivered a $1 million prize last week.
The top-winning ticket, a Crossword scratch-off worth $1 million, was purchased at Chillum Wine & Spirits on Eastern Avenue in Hyattsville, according to the Maryland Lottery.
The million-dollar winner was among 23 tickets statewide that produced prizes of $10,000 or more during the week of June 1-7.
Altogether, Maryland Lottery players collected more than $30.5 million in prizes during the seven-day period.
Another major scratch-off prize was claimed in St. Mary’s County, where a Red 5’s Doubler ticket sold at a Food Lion in Leonardtown was worth $100,000.

Several other scratch-off players claimed $50,000 prizes, including winners who purchased tickets in Greenbelt, Grasonville and Hampstead.
A player in Upper Marlboro won $30,000 playing a Ms. PAC-MAN scratch-off, while a Silver Spring ticket holder claimed a $25,000 prize on a Gifts of Green ticket.
Among the week’s biggest draw-game wins, a Pick 5 player purchased three separate $50,000-winning tickets at Lady’s Liquors in La Plata on June 5, for a combined potential payout of $150,000. As of June 8, all three tickets remained unclaimed.
Other notable draw-game prizes included a $20,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Essex and a $10,000 Keno ticket sold in Capitol Heights. Both tickets were still unclaimed as of June 8.
Racetrax players also enjoyed several sizable wins during the week, including prizes of $26,496 in Bowie, $23,699.50 in Suitland, and multiple payouts exceeding $14,000 at locations across Prince George’s and Baltimore counties.
Maryland Lottery officials remind winners to sign the backs of their tickets and store them in a safe place.
