Police shooting in northwest Baltimore under investigation

The Maryland Attorney General’s Independent Investigation Division is investigating a shooting involving at least one Baltimore police officer, according to authorities.

The shooting happened near the Walbrook Junction Shopping Center in northwest Baltimore in the early hours of Sunday.

The police gunfire came at the end of a police pursuit, according to sources.

Officers placed multiple orange cones on the ground around a vehicle near the intersection of Denison Street and Clifton Avenue.

Homicide detectives could be seen searching the area for evidence as several high-ranking officers stood by.

The Maryland Attorney General announced that his office had launched an investigation roughly two hours after the shooting.
