Man shot during carjacking in Randallstown, police say

Baltimore County (WBFF) — A man was shot during an armed carjacking in Randallstown on Monday evening, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Police said the shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. on July 20 near Downey Dale Drive and Church Lane.

According to investigators, the victim was sitting inside his vehicle on Church Lane when two suspects approached, got into the vehicle, and attempted to pull him out.

During a struggle with one of the suspects, the victim was shot, police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the incident.

Police have not released descriptions of the suspects or announced any arrests. It’s also unclear if the suspects drove off in the stolen vehicle.
