Cecil County (WBFF) — A large barn was destroyed in a Tuesday morning fire in Cecil County, causing an estimated $400,000 in damage, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The fire was reported on July 21 around 8:11 a.m. at 2183 Theodore Road in North East.
Officials said the blaze involved a 60-foot by 96-foot pole barn. The owner discovered the fire.
The North East Fire Company responded with 60 firefighters during a two-alarm response.

Crews brought the fire under control in about one hour, according to the Fire Marshal’s Office.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators determined the fire originated inside the barn, but the cause remains under investigation.
The Fire Marshal’s Office said the barn did not have smoke alarms, a fire alarm system or sprinklers.
