State’s Attorney Ivan Bates hosts 3rd annual back-to-school cookout, backpack giveaway

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Families gathered Saturday at Sinclair Lane Elementary for Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan Bates’ third annual back-to-school cookout and backpack giveaway.

The event, held Aug. 15, featured music, food, games and giveaways aimed at helping students prepare for the new school year.

Dozens of city agencies and community organizations attended, along with city students and their families.

The event brought the community together for a day of fun while helping students head into the new school year prepared.
