BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Baltimore County Police released drone footage Saturday capturing a graffiti arrest in Towson.
The incident occurred on June 22 around 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Fairmont Avenue, and authorities responded with drones after a report of destruction of property.
The police department’s ‘Drone as First Responder (DFR)’ program helped patrol officers by capturing video footage of the suspect committing the crime before they arrived.
Officers then arrived on the scene, and body cam footage shows an officer questioning the suspect, “Did you draw something on, like, a trash can?”
“No.” the suspect replied.
“Were you drawing something on a trash can?” the officer repeated.
“No! You asked me, I told you.” The suspect said. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
But the drone footage appeared to show the suspect spray-painting a donation bin.
The property owner told officers that each donation bin costs $2,000.
Body camera footage then showed authorities arresting the suspect.
