MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A person was hospitalized after a reported sexual assault late Wednesday night in Montgomery County, police said.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), officers were dispatched around 11:45 p.m. to the area of University Boulevard West and Amherst Avenue for a reported sexual assault.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A suspect has been detained as MCPD continues its investigation.
