
TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) — Baltimore County Police said 15 adults and two juveniles have been charged with weapons offenses after detectives recovered several firearms while executing a search warrant connected to a shooting near Towson University.
Detectives with the department’s Violent Crimes Unit served the warrant in the 8000 block of York Road following Sunday night’s shooting, police said Tuesday.
Officers were initially called to the area around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, where they found an 18-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound near Campus Drive.

The victim, who police said is not a Towson University student, was taken to a hospital.
The shooting prompted a campus-wide shelter-in-place order at Towson University that lasted nearly three hours. Police have said they do not believe the shooting was connected to the university.
During the subsequent search warrant, detectives recovered several firearms from an apartment, according to police.
Fifteen adults, ranging in age from 18 to 31, and two boys, ages 15 and 17, were charged with multiple weapons offenses. The juveniles were waived to adult court. Police said the charges include minor in possession of a firearm.

Those charged include Mohamed Kamara, Abul Sanni, Olajuwon Olakanye, Andre Warren, Joseph Savage, Musa Olabode, Mohamed Conteh, Joseph Duwana, Taslim Akiremi, Kevin Kotchi, Alhasan Barrie, Keyon O’Neal, Kenneth Nambou, James Weller and Emmanuel Manning.
Duwana, Kotchi and Nambou are all students at Towson University, school officials confirmed to FOX45 News Tuesday evening.
Police did not say whether any of the people charged were suspected of firing the shots or whether the firearms recovered were connected to the shooting.
Detectives said they are continuing to search for the person or people responsible for Sunday’s shooting.
