3 dead, 1 injured after motorcycle and Tesla crash in Prince George’s County

Three people are dead and one person was sent to the hospital after a Tesla and motorcycle crashed in Prince George’s County, officials said.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. on Sunday in the 4000 Block of Crain Highway, Route 301, in Upper Marlboro, according to Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department.

The agency said three people were pronounced dead at the scene and one was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Maryland State Police said their initial investigation into the crash revealed that a Tesla was trying to turn onto Governor’s Park Lane from Route 301, failing to yield to a Harley-Davidson motorcycle already in the roadway.

“The Harley subsequently struck the passenger side of the Tesla,” MSP said. “The operator and passenger of the motorcycle and rear passenger in the Tesla were pronounced deceased on the scene.”
