4 Maryland men charged in Fairfax County burglaries targeting fire-damaged homes

Four Maryland men are facing charges following a string of burglaries across Fairfax County, in which they allegedly targeted homes that were left unoccupied after fires.

Fairfax County police say investigators linked five break-ins at four homes in Reston, Fair Oaks and West Springfield between November 2025 and July 2026.

The accused burglars struck twice at a Reston home. On Nov. 11, they broke in and damaged a gun safe but took nothing. Thirteen days later, the same suspects returned and stole the safe and a Porsche Macan from the driveway, police said. The car was later found in Maryland.

Investigators reviewed video and digital evidence and traced stolen property to connect the cases, police said. They worked with law enforcement agencies in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Loudoun County, as well as the FBI.

Police ask anyone who might have more information on these burglaries to call the Reston Police Station at 703-478-0904.
