Aberdeen man arrested after drug, gun bust at apartment complex

A drug investigation in Harford County has led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of large amounts of drugs and guns, authorities announced on Friday.

The Harford County Task Force began investigating illegal drug distribution at an apartment complex near Aberdeen in June of 2026.

Throughout the investigation, Detectives identified 35-year-old Kevin G. Scott Jr., of Aberdeen, as the primary suspect and secured a search warrant for his home in the 200 block of Mayberry Drive on August 25.

While searching his home, detectives located several firearms and significant quantities of illegal narcotics.

Officials said they recovered an AR-15-style rifle; two handguns, one of which was not serialized; approximately 270 grams of cocaine; approximately 431 grams of fentanyl/cocaine mixture; a substantial amount of U.S. Currency; additional evidence consistent with illegal narcotics distribution; and Ballistic body armor.

Authorities reported that the fentanyl/cocaine mix has an estimated street value exceeding $80,000.

Police arrested Scott and transported him to the Harford County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
