BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — Baltimore police have arrested a 39-year-old Annapolis man in connection with a July shooting that left a 53-year-old man wounded in Southwest Baltimore.
According to police, Johnnie Hawkins, of Annapolis, was wanted in connection with the shooting of a 53-year-old man in the 2600 block of West Lexington Street.
Police said the shooting happened July 19. Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to that location for a reported shooting and found a 53-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg that appeared to be non-life-threatening.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

On Aug. 7, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Hawkins in Annapolis and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
He now faces charges of attempted murder and assault.
