BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Baltimore Police Department hosted ‘Battle of the Badge: Summer Jam’ on Saturday in west Baltimore, a friendly basketball competition that brought together officers and middle and high school-aged youth.
In addition to the basketball games, families had access to school-supply giveaways, a community resource fair, food, music, and activities for youth.
BPD officers, along with Maryland State Police and Maryland Capitol Police participated in the event at the Cloverdale Basketball Courts near Druid Hill Park.
“The event is designed to create positive interactions between young people, law enforcement, and the community while promoting teamwork, mentorship, and stronger relationships,” said organizers.
