Baltimore County’s indoor pools in Dundalk and Randallstown will reopen this month under a pilot program that will offer open swim, daily admission and discounted monthly memberships, officials announced Thursday.

The Dundalk pool will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, before reopening on Oct. 14.

The Randallstown pool will host its open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 17 and reopen Oct. 19.

During the open houses, residents will be able to swim, sign up for memberships and learn more about the county’s aquatics pilot program.

The pilot is expected to run through at least the end of 2026 as the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks works to add programming, including water fitness classes. A single monthly membership will provide access to both facilities.

“We heard clearly from residents that they want these pools open, affordable and available to their communities,” said Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, via press release. “We’re proud to reopen both pools this month with discounted memberships and hours that reflect feedback. We’ll keep listening as we build on these services and develop additional programming.”

The county said it received about 800 responses to an online survey launched in late July and held two public listening sessions in August. Residents identified affordability as a priority, while fitness classes and open lap swimming were among the most requested activities.

Both facilities have 25-yard, six-lane indoor pools ranging from four to 10 feet deep, as well as men’s, women’s and family changing areas.

Information on hours, pricing, memberships and future programming is available through Baltimore County’s Aquatic Centers and Programs webpage.
