BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Baltimore City Department of Transportation announced temporary road closures and traffic modifications for activities happening in the city this weekend, the department announced Friday.
The modifications will be in place from Friday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 23.

The department reminds residents that all activities are weather permitting and they’re not responsible for providing status updates.
The following road and lane closures will be implemented on Friday starting at 4:00p.m., Saturday at 4:00p.m., and Sunday at 10:30a.m. for games at Camden Yards:
Heavy traffic is expected in the vicinity of One Calvert Plaza for student move-in activities. Move-in activities will take place on Friday and Saturday starting at 8:00a.m. each day.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid possible delays. Drivers should also be patient while traveling in this vicinity, as new students and their families may be unfamiliar with the area.

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for Mayor Brandon Scott’s Annual Back to School Kick-off. The event will be held at War Memorial Plaza located at 100 Holliday Street from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Saturday from approximately 6:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers’ Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.
