BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — Hundreds of paddlers helped celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Baltimore Floatilla on Saturday with a “Saturday Morning Fever” and 70s disco theme.
The event took place at at Canton Waterfront Park and brought together kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards from across the region.
In collaboration with Ultimate Watersports and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, paddlers were treated to a Baltimore-based band Disco Inferno performing classic ’70s hits LIVE from a floating stage aboard Mr. Trash Wheel in the Inner Harbor.
Organizers say “the Floatilla is designed to spotlight progress in the environmental restoration of the Baltimore Harbor while promoting the harbor as a recreational resource for the community.”
