BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A 32-year-old man has been arrested on an involuntary manslaughter charge in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in a vehicle in northwest Baltimore.
Baltimore police said homicide detectives arrested Yaakov Reichman in connection with the death of 1-year-old David Reichman, who died July 16, in the 6200 block of Greenspring Avenue.
Police said that on July 16, at about 1:40 p.m., officers responded to the block for a report of an unconscious child. Officers found a 1-year-old boy unresponsive, police said.
Medics attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful, and the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

The child’s remains were taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. The Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death was hyperthermia, or heat exposure, after the child was left unattended in the family vehicle, police said.
Reichman turned himself in at Police Headquarters on Aug. 24. He was then transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
