Man arrested, charged with attempted murder in South Baltimore shooting

Baltimore police have arrested a 45-year-old man accused of shooting a 33-year-old man in the South Baltimore nearly a week ago.

Members of the Baltimore Police Department’s Warrant Task Force arrested Leon Nolan on Aug. 25th in the 3400 block of 7th Street, police said.

Nolan was wanted on an open warrant in connection with a shooting that happened Aug. 20th in the 3500 block of 7th Street.

Police said Southern District patrol officers responded around 1:51 a.m. Aug. 20 to the 3500 block of 7th Street for a report of a shooting.

Officers found a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Nolan was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where police said he was charged with first-degree attempted murder.
