New restrictions are now in place for the final day of Baltimore’s AFRAM 50 Festival after police said two officers were assaulted during Saturday night’s event at Druid Hill Park.

Mayor Brandon Scott and the Baltimore Police Department announced that for the remainder of the festival, all people under 18 attending AFRAM 50 in Druid Hill Park must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or a responsible adult at all times.

Officials asked parents and guardians to follow the requirements to ensure minors are properly supervised throughout the event.

The announcement came less than 24 hours after police said two officers were assaulted Saturday night responding to incidents involving juveniles throwing objects and a large fight at AFRAM 50.

Authorities declared part of the festival a civil unrest zone due to a large gathering of teens, though the event continued and the investigation remains ongoing.
