Baltimore Police investigate after 19-year-old riding scooter killed in Broadway East

Baltimore Police are investigating after a 19-year-old was fatally struck while riding a scooter in Broadway East Saturday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m. on June 20, officers were called to the 1700 block of N. Washington St. in east Baltimore for a reported crash, authorities said.

There, officers located a crash involving a scooter and an SUV.

The driver of the scooter, identified as a 19-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital where despite medical efforts, was pronounced dead.

The driver of the SUV remained at the crash scene, police said.
