PASADENA, Md. (WBFF) — Authorities have recovered a body in Anne Arundel County’s Rock Creek that matches the description of the boater who was reported missing on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as 52-year-old David Lawrence Jones, of Silver Spring, officials reported.
On July 19, the Maryland Natural Resources Police were called for a report of a missing boater in Rock Creek.

Officials said the man jumped off a pontoon boat to retrieve an item but never resurfaced.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the Baltimore County Fire Department, Maryland State Police Trooper 6 helicopter, and the Coast Guard responded to help search the area.
Then on July 20 at around 5:45 p.m., the diving team from the Maryland Natural Resources Police and the Anne Arundel County Fire Department recovered the body.
The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Authorities said the investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
