BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport Welcomes JetBlue Airways

JetBlue Airways will begin service at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on July 9th, adding new flight options for travelers in Maryland and the National Capital region.

JetBlue announced this morning it will offer three daily flights between BWI Marshall Airport and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting July 9, 2026. The airline also plans to add service between BWI Marshall and San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Nov. 2, 2026.

Airport officials said the addition reflects continued demand for air travel and highlights the strength of the market in Maryland and the National Capital region.

BWI Marshall Airport serves as a major travel hub for Maryland and the National Capital region, with about 300 daily nonstop departures to roughly 90 domestic and international destinations, officials said.

The airport generates a total economic impact of $11.3 billion annually, and the airport and visitors produce and support more than 107,000 jobs throughout Maryland and the region, according to airport officials.
