Car flips in crash on I-270 in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A car flipped upside-down in the middle of Interstate 270 southbound during a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

The collision happened during the morning rush hour just past Montgomery Village Avenue.

Pete Piringer, the spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said several people were evaluated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Crews initially blocked all but two lanes to clear the wreckage, causing major traffic delays before the highway fully reopened.
