ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Northbound I-97 was shut down late Friday afternoon for a crash investigation, said authorities.
The State Highway Administration has northbound I-97 shut down from Benfield Boulevard to New Cut Road, The Anne Arundel County Police department confirmed at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
All traffic is being diverted onto Benfield Boulevard.
Officials say the highway will be shut down for a considerable amount of time.
The severity of the crash and details on the condition of those involved have not been released.
